Assessment of clients’ psychiatric health
Patient evaluation is provided to help understand the clients’ condition and determine the kinds of treatment they can benefit from. Here, clients’ health issues and health history are also evaluated. This information can also help us as we prescribe our clients’ medication while considering drugs they are taking for their other health problems. With evaluation, clients may be asked to answer paper and pencil questions and psychiatric tests and undergo an interview. The assessment result can serve as a guide for psychiatric health professionals and other healthcare providers in creating a comprehensive care plan to address the client’s needs.
